IBI ART gallery , founded in 2007, provides a space for both new, up and coming independent as well as more established artists wanting to exhibit their art to audiences in South Africa and abroad. We offer a platform to show their work giving artists individual attention and assistance to market and sell their work. Since Covid, IBI ART gallery has started exhibiting their artists on larger art shows in South Africa with great success. The wider draw of audiences that are passionate about art in art centres around the world are our market. IBI ART gallery works closely with their artists to understand their vision and expression in order to present something immersive.
We are looking forward with great pride to present the work of Cathy Abraham. The fallen sparks of Tohu is her fourth solo show with the gallery. We are excited to present this body of work internationally for the first time in Istanbul. Abraham's work has been incredibly well received both locally and internationally. She is currently exhibiting in London and Sweden. Abraham's work is also held in museum and private collections in South Africa. She has developed an international following having exhibited with us at the recent Investec Cape Town International Art Fair in February 2023.
